Contract and invoice questions.
Are electronic signatures legally binding?
In England and Wales, electronic signatures are generally accepted for contracts like these, and in the US the ESIGN Act and state UETA laws give them the same standing as ink. Caloreel records who signed, when, and from which link. If you're unsure about a particular contract, ask a solicitor or attorney.
Do both partners have to sign?
You decide. Mark which contacts in the household need to sign. Each gets their own link, and the contract only completes when every required signer has signed. Caloreel reminds anyone who hasn't.
How do clients pay?
By card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through your own Stripe account, or with pay by bank in the UK. The money goes straight to you. Any billing contact can pay any instalment, so partners and parents can split a balance.
Does Caloreel take a cut of my invoices?
No. There's no Caloreel fee on invoices or session payments; you pay only Stripe's standard processing fees. The 3% store fee applies to print and download sales from galleries.
Can I use my own contract wording?
Yes. Paste in your existing contract, add merge fields for names, dates, venue and package, and save it as a template. Start from our free wedding photography contract template if you need one.
Can I charge VAT?
Yes. Add tax to invoice lines at your rate, show discounts, and keep invoice numbers in one unbroken series. If you're not VAT-registered, leave tax off.
Send it to both of them.
Paste in your contract, add the merge fields and send your next booking from here. Fourteen days free, no card.
